The Beauty of Devotion

“You are my best friend. Today I give myself to you in marriage. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and strife. I promise to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard, when our love is simple, and when is an effort. I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in the highest regard. These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life. ”

“I (name), take you (name), to be my (wife/husband) to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish: from this day forward until death do us part.”

“In the presence of God and all assembled here, I offer this ring as a symbol of the never-ending love and respect that I will always have for you and for our relationship. Accept this ring as a symbol of my desire for us to become one—one love, one life, and one family made from the dreams and hearts of two. I commit myself to working at this relationship so that it will continue to grow, enriching our love and our lives from this day forward as long as I shall live.”

“I, (name), take you, (name), to be my (husband/wife), my constant friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward. In the presence of our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live.”

“I (name), take you (name) to be my (husband/wife), my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.”

“My heart is a treasure. Take care of it. I will treat your heart like a treasure and do all I can to be kind, helpful, and understanding.”

“Today I promise to love and honor you all my life, to give you strength, to stand by you in joy and in sorrow and ask you to stand by me. I pray that our home will be one of love and understanding. I give you all my  trust, all my tomorrows and ask you to accept me as your wife/husband.”

“I marry you in loving-kindness, compassion, and faithfulness. With these rings we join our lives and promise to go on loving, trusting, and sharing our lives to make this world a better place. I give you this ring as a symbol of my love, precious and without end. I give you this ring as I give you my love. We shall keep this love which unites us as sacred, cherishing each other always, ever sensitive to each other, and forgiving and understanding of each other’s shortcomings.”
